Event description

AMC represented artists include the hall of fame of Australian composers as well as emerging contemporary creators. So, what does it mean to be an AMC represented artist?

In this session, we’ll break down our artist representation service and what it entails. We’ll outline the application process, eligibility criteria, and the benefits you can gain from AMC representation as a music creator.

This session will be beneficial for music creators actively working in art music and creative industries (including contemporary classical music, jazz, exploratory music, improvisation, sound installation, film and game music), as well as emerging creators seeking some guidance setting career goals and milestones.

Registrations are free.

About the Speaker

Jane Aubourg is the Music Resources, Representation and Awards Coordinator at the Australian Music Centre, with 13 years at the organisation (and counting!). She documents works and events in the AMC catalogue, administrates the AMC representation applications, and co-ordinates the Art Music Awards nominations process. Jane is also an AMC Associate Artist. She composes and plays violin with Sydney-based exploratory music collective The Music Box Project. Her current solo project is creating works for a violin hybrid sculpture called Play Me Mend Me.
