The ecolabel is earned, not bought and is achieved through meeting science-backed criteria, passing onsite audits, and demonstrating proof of continuous improvement.

Eco Choice is a not-for-profit, governed by an independent Board of Directors and trademarked by the Ministry for the Environment.

Eco Choice Aotearoa is part of the Global Ecolabelling Network (GEN) a membership of similarly rigorous ecolabels hailing from nearly 60 countries.
