Event description

How can you meet the growing sustainability expectations and demands of customers with a profitable and sustainable business model?

Companies have viewed sustainability as a matter of corporate and brand positioning, with little consideration to its strategic importance.

However, this perspective has changed. Companies have realised that their ability to grow, attract the right staff and business partners, retain customers rests with their responses to the challenges on the sustainability agenda.

Defining how businesses can meet the challenges can be daunting. Sustainability can encompass a broad range of issues that affect business.

Join the live webinar that will address these issues and way forward with industry examples

During the session you will join your pre-selected focus topic in a  breakout room, where deeper discussion and practical examples will be shared with subject matter experts.

Responsible Consumption” is to consider how stuff is made, to decide if the impact is meaningful or meaningless. Our planet can’t keep giving more than we take. Products are born using a certain amount of energy, water and waste. How resource intensive will vary from product to product.  Our choices have impacts.  Being mindful in one's decision making process for making the best sustainable choice is responsible.

        4. Life below water- Graham Robertson has 40 years of business experience, 23 years of which were leading Australia and New Zealand operations of global and locally owned companies as a CEO/Managing Director.

The ocean is the planet's largest biosphere, making up over 70% of earth surface, is home to up to 80 percent of all life in the world and generates 50% of the oxygen we need survive and thrive.

The ocean acts as a carbon sink absorbing 23% of annual CO2 emissions generated by human activity and captures 90 % of the additional heat generated from those emissions that regulates our climate

Over three billion people depend on marine and coastal biodiversity for their livelihoods.

The value of ocean assets (fisheries, mangroves, reefs, seagrass, shipping, productive coastlines, carbon capture, etc) is worth $24 trillion USD.

Every year, an estimated 5 to 12 million metric tonnes of plastic enters the ocean, costing  us roughly $13 billion per year. What can we go to reduce that cost and improve our livelihood?
