This session will uncover the process of Lifecycle Assessments (LCA), the process of evaluating the environmental impact of a product or service. Â
It is important for us to understand the impact of our purchases so we can make informed decisions. Combined with the tightening of international reporting requirements, it might be something your business needs to know.Â
During the session, Catherine will provide a detailed overview of carbon emissions, reduction techniques, and effective reporting practices. As well as the risks of greenwashing and greenhushing.
Andrew will assist you in understanding the role of a Lifecycle Assessment (LCA) in evaluating and minimising the environmental impact of your product processes. You will gain insights into how LCA can be integrated into your decision-making processes.
This session will cover:

- How to begin an emissions reduction plan

Facilitator - Andrew Moore, Life Cycle Logic
Andrew D Moore (MSc BAppSc BSc) is a passionate sustainability scientist and founder of Life Cycle Logic. He loves to explore the life cycles of products - using Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) - to help his clients discover their path to sustainability. His clients include a wide range of sectors, including government, agriculture, building and construction, mining, tourism and energy.
Facilitator - Catherine Patterson, Carbon Positive Australia
Catherine Patterson is the Head of Partnerships at Carbon Positive Australia and is passionate about empowering organisations to minimise their environmental impact.
With a Bachelor of Business Administration, she has just completed the UN Global Accelerator on Science-based targets. She is an Al Gore Climate Reality Leader, the WA leader for Parents for Climate Change, and a Permaculture Designer. She has worked at Carbon Positive Australia for eight years, and before that in various commercial roles as well as running her own small business. Catherine understands how our values, combined with a strong business strategy, can have a substantial social and environmental impact.
