Sustainable Development Boardroom Session (December)
Event description
Thanks for expressing interest in the Sustainable Development boardroom session.
We believe that business can and should be used as force-for-good in pursuit of a sustainable and more equitable and joyful existence.
The boardroom sessions are designed to help us move in that direction, systematically, and together. So that we can achieve all 17 of the Sustainable Development Goals by December 2030, using business and profit for good!
At the recent Sustainable Development Forum:
We discussed perspectives and multiple case studies.
We challenged each group to come up with practical actions to make the world more sustainable and to facilitate a leadership position from the business arena.
Agenda:
At this forthcoming boardroom session:
We’ll build on the momentum and take more action towards Sustainable Development outcomes.
The sessions are structured so that half of the time is invested in the (online) room together finding out more about each other’s businesses, roles and aspirations, and the other half of the time is invested in 1-1 conversations in the breakout rooms, to work out the practical actions we can take to support each other’s progress and the progress of humanity and the planet.
The most fruitful 1-1 conversations in the breakout rooms (between respected members of the community) tend to expand on:
- What are some of our challenges and aspirations?
- How can we support each other to ensure all of our “cups overflow completely!” as opposed to being half-full or half-empty.
- What practical actions can we take together to support the uplift of Humanity and the Planet?
Can “anyone” attend?
No. These sessions are attended by people who are invited by community members or who have already attended a Symphony 7 event – so there is always only 1 degree of separation. They are not advertised to the general public. If you’re viewing this landing page, then somebody who we know believes that you are interested to make a difference, and has cared enough to invite you.
Who attends these boardroom sessions?
A range of respected guests who believe that together we are better and who want to take action to cause uplift on our Planet. Most of the people who attend believe that profit can (and should) be used as a force for good.
We work hard to get the peering right, so that people can enjoy fruitful conversations with like-minded peers, who can add mutual value and in some cases, establish thought leadership.
What is the calibre of the community?

What are the Values of Symphony 7?
- Profit-for-Good – we believe that business and profit are powerful forces which can and must be used for good.
- Together we are better – when we collaborate, we can be/do/achieve much more than if we operate “alone”.
- We are All Responsible – as business leaders, we ALL have a strong role to play to ensure that we move to a more sustainable way of living and doing business. We are ALL responsible for changing from the current trajectory to a more sustainable and a more equitable one!
- Empowerment – as we empower women, men, girls and boys, the whole planet can move forward with more stability, more dignity and more joy.
