Part 2: Week of August 26-30, 2024

Please join us for a two-part online workshop series, where we will explore how governments, stakeholders, and communities can contribute to a healthy, flourishing food system.

This is an exciting opportunity to build collective knowledge of your local food system, discover innovative food systems practices, and create a food environment that supports your community in making healthy food choices.

Organised by the Loddon Mallee Public Health Unit in partnership with Sustain: the Australian Food Network, these two online workshops aim to:

• - Increase understanding of why healthy food systems matter, and their relevance in your Shire
• - Explore the role of community, government, and stakeholders in promoting healthy food systems
• - Build awareness of food systems issues and opportunities across the region
• - Lay the groundwork for food network building.

Online participatory workshops are being offered in 2024 to community and stakeholders in the Buloke, Gannawarra, Swan Hill, and Campaspe shires. They will be delivered online for 60 minutes and allow for discussions and reflections by participants alongside learning activities.

A Community Food and Farming Survey will be developed for distribution through Council channels to understand the needs and priorities of your local community. Key findings will be analysed by Sustain and discussed in the second webinar to reveal priorities for the future.
