About the Speaker
Ben Walsham is the driving force behind ARKATA, a Residential Energy Efficiency Consultancy dedicated to transforming homes into healthy, comfortable, and resilient living spaces. With a Master’s degree in Architecture, Ben’s journey began in a dual architectural firm and South Australian builder, where he gained invaluable hands-on experience in residential construction and project coordination. Ben’s professional expertise lies in sustainability consulting, where he combines an architect’s vision, a builder’s practical knowledge, and sustainability expertise to advise on projects holistically. His work encompasses design optimisation, data analytics and communication, building performance simulation, NatHERS ratings, and identification of balanced yet valuable building specifications, ensuring that homes not only meet but exceed energy efficiency standards. Passionate about creating homes that enhance living and foster well-being, Ben collaborates with like-minded stakeholders to deliver extraordinary outcomes. His mission is to redefine how we live, one Australian home at a time.
