Event description

In the first part of the webinar, Dongqin Ruan will share her post-study employment journey, with a special focus on her current role in a community development setting. 



In the second part of the webinar, Hui-Yu will discuss three roles - support worker, case manager, and counsellor, which are commonly seen in the social and welfare sector in Australia. 

Presenters:

Dongqin Ruan 

Dongqin was an international student from China. She completed Master of Social Work (Qualifying) with University of Tasmania in 2018. She started her social work practice with Baptcare (Tas) between 2018 and 2020, and is now employed by Hospice Volunteers South Tas Inc. as a Community Support Officer. 



Hui-Yu Yao

Hui-Yu, Founder of Social Work Diversity Network Australia, is a social work practitioner and PhD student. She completed her social work degree in 2010 and has worked in both government and non-government sectors.
