SweepFit: Leaf Clean-Up, Cakes & Cuppas
Description
Join us for a morning of sweeping, chatting and delicious cake! Come down to The Story Sanctuary this half term for a fun, autumnal morning as we sweep up the autumn leaves, enjoy a cuppa and have a chat.
It’s a chance to meet the team, learn more about TSS and what we do, and get to know others in the community. Everyone is welcome, so come along, grab a slice of cake and a cup of tea or coffee, and spend a relaxed morning with us!
If you're planning to tackle the leaf litter, please wear warm clothes! We've only got a few tools to use, so if you could bring your own, we'd really appreciate it!
Children and young people welcome to chill and chat or help clean up - under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.
Should it start raining, assume we've cancelled, but you're more than welcome to come down anyway and have a cup of tea and some cake with the team.
Practical Details:
Our building is not (yet) fully accessible, there are steps down to the toilets which are not suitable for wheelchair users or those who need assistance.
Optional Donation:
The Story Sanctuary is a grassroots community initiative, led by volunteers. To help balance accessibility with sustainability, we charge for some events but not others.
If you are able to make a donation, we are very grateful, but it is never expected.
