What is Lindy Hop?
Lindy Hop is a lively, energetic, and incredibly fun style of social swing dance that originated in the 1920s and 1930s Harlem, New York. Known for its infectious energy, joyful movement, and exciting rhythms, Lindy Hop is all about improvisation, connection, and expression. We teach it with a focus on fun, rhythm, and inclusivity!

Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: What payment options do you offer?
A: You can pay with cash at the door, Easy ID (digital payments), purchase a pre-paid Loyalty Card, or buy tickets online via our website.
Q: What should I wear?
A: Wear something stylish and comfortable. In warmer weather, consider a hand towel and maybe a change of shirt. Flat, comfy shoes are a must (no slip!). Dress as casually or vintage as you like—but always bring your smile and positive energy!
Q: Do I need to bring a partner?
A: Not at all! We rotate partners in class, which helps you learn faster and meet a variety of dancers. If you prefer to stick with a partner, that's fine too, but you'll progress faster by dancing with everyone.
Q: How long does it take to learn to dance?
A: We recommend attending at least 4 beginner classes in a row, combined with some practice at home. With dedication and a positive attitude, you’ll be well on your way to dancing confidently!
Q: Are kids welcome at the venue?
A: Absolutely! Our venues are family-friendly, and we love seeing all ages on the dance floor.
Q: Is there a bar or restaurant at the venue?
A: Yes! We believe a night of swing dancing is the perfect excuse for a fun night out. Both venues have a bar and restaurant where you can relax, refuel, and hang out with fellow dancers after class.
Q: What if I have 2 left feet?
A: No problem—our classes are designed for everyone, regardless of experience or coordination! Our friendly, patient teachers will have you feeling confident in no time. We promise, dancing is more fun when you embrace the learning process with a smile.
Q: Do you offer private lessons?
A: Yes, we offer private lessons! If you're looking for one-on-one instruction, just reach out to us, and we’ll find the perfect solution for you.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
We acknowledge the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the land on which we dance, and pay our respects to their Elders past and present, as well as to emerging leaders.Â
We acknowledge that the core dances we teach, perform and share come from African American and Black culture, as does the jazz music we love. We acknowledge that we do so without lived experience of this culture and are deeply grateful to be able to experience this amazing art form. We endeavour to continue educating ourselves about the historical, political and social context from which jazz and lindy hop grew, and in which it exists today. Understanding this helps us to honour the roots of the dance and music.
