Swing Dance Kickstart Workshop - Feb 2027

This is a fun, achievable and very relaxed session, designed especially for absolute beginners.

The aim is simple: learn a few swing dancing steps, get a feel for what swing dancing is all about, and have plenty of laughs along the way.

You’ll get expert tuition in a safe, friendly and supportive environment, with no pressure and absolutely no dance experience required. Along the way, we’ll sprinkle in a few nuggets about the history of swing dancing and the music that makes it so infectious.

It’s a great way to meet new people, get moving, try something completely different and discover just how much fun swing dancing can be.

TICKET OPTIONS:
This is a partner dancing workshop. You will be required to book as either a Lead or a Follow (Pair Pass, for one Lead + one Follow, available for one-click booking). We don't mind which role you choose.

NEW! - Switch Pass - Aiming to make these partner dancing workshops accessible to as many people as possible, we've introduced a new ticket option. If you're keen to attend, eager to dance, and don't mind which dance role you do, consider booking a Switch Pass. Gives you guaranteed entry to the workshop (regardless of current Lead:Follow ratio) and the role you dance in the workshop will be decided by attendee numbers on the day. Great for your learning, and good for the community.

Please arrive a few minutes before the advertised start time, to check in and be ready to dance at the start of the session.

WAITLIST: If your preferred ticket type is sold out Text Swing Patrol on 0412 309 311, with your name, the workshop title, and which tickets you want, and Swing Patrol will text you back if tickets become available, giving you an exclusive Access Code to use for booking within a specific window of time.

CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY: If you need to cancel due to illness/Public Health & Safety, a refund will be available as long as you advise Swing Patrol via text to 0412 309 311 before 9am on the day of the event.

Cancellations for reasons other than Public Health & Safety: As the venue has a fixed capacity, refunds are not possible without 48 hours notice, as we may have turned away other dancers and need time to give others the opportunity to snap up your spot. Thanks for understanding. Where applicable, a full or partial refund (less administration fee) may be available up to 11am on the Thursday prior to the workshop. Text Swing Patrol on 0412 309 311.
