Fresh off the Boogie Down South circuit, Clàudia Fonte is joined by her partner in dance (and in life) Coline Avril for another weekend workshop!
The PSDS is proud to bring a SwungOver* weekend in Perth! Low effort, maximum reward! We know you're tired, we know you're skint, so we wanna make this super easy for you (and us!)
The Passes
Fully SwungOver Pass - You are INSATIABLE! Boogie Down South wasn't enough for you and you want MOAR! Dive into the full weekend experience! Enjoy all 6 hours of workshops and finish it off with Smooth Sailing.
Day Pass - Short on time? Choose Saturday or Sunday and enjoy 3 hours of workshops packed with learning, connection, and fun - includes entry to Smooth Sailing.
Pick & Mix - Mix, match, and make it your own. Select any of the four 1.5-hour classes and focus on the topics that excite you most.
✨Rising Star✨ - Just getting started? If you started dancing in 2026 and have been dancing for 10 months or less, you get 10% off a Full Pass - because every great dancer starts somewhere!
Master Class EOI - As the name suggests this is an EOI pledge at this stage. Pending interest this class would take place on Sat 3rd Oct from 14:30-16:00. Please read the ticket description carefully before committing.

Event Schedule

Mustang Friday
The weekend begins with Mustang, our Friday night social dance featuring a live band. Whether you're reconnecting with friends, meeting dancers from around the community, or simply soaking up the energy of live music, it's the perfect way to kick off the weekend and get inspired for the days ahead. Although included in the weekend festivities - please remember that Mustang is not managed or run by PSDS. Access is open to the public and free until 8pm only ($10 cover fee thereafter). None of the SwungOver tickets include access to Mustang.

Weekend Workshops
The weekend is all about developing your dancing through a series of focused 1.5-hour workshops. With plenty of time to explore concepts in depth, you'll build new skills, refine your technique, and discover fresh ideas to bring to your social dancing. Each day will run on the same schedule. 10am-1130am - Solo Jazz 1130am-1230pm - Lunch 1230pm-2pm - Lindy Hop **Pending Interest - Potential Master Class on Saturday 3rd Oct from 14:30-16:00

Smooth Sailing
When the workshops are done and the weekend draws to a close, join us for Smooth Sailing - your favourite monthly social where you can put everything you've learned into practice. Enjoy great music, relaxed vibes, and one final chance to share the dance floor with an amazing community.
FAQs
- Is this part of the Boogie Down South Festival?
No - Although we are working closely with the awesome BDS team, this event is totally separate.
- Are the classes leveled?
No. All classes will be open level and designed to have something for everyone. The focus of the weekend is connection and personal expression.

- Are there advance level options?
YES! Ish.. We recognise the appetite for this and have created a Master Class EOI ticket. If you buy this ticket you are committing to participating in the class should it eventuate.
Date/Time: If confirmed - this workshop would take place on Saturday Oct 3rd 14:30-16:00
Style: Pending interest we will reach out to further enquire if you prefer Lindy or Solo (or both!)
Cost: If this does not go ahead, you will be refunded the $5 (minus booking fee), if it does go ahead, the $5 will come off your ticket price. Ticket price is TBC but likely between $30-$40 for a 1.5hr class
Levelling: To maintain the appropriate levels and provide the best learning environment, a selection process will apply for a Lindy Workshop (not for solo). If you are not selected, a full refund will be provided.
- It looks like there's no Saturday night social, is that right?
Yep! 😏 We've left Saturday purposefully free! Wanna get a group together and keep on dancing? Let people know and make it happen!
- Does my ticket guarantee me entry to Smooth Sailing?
If your ticket type includes Smooth Sailing entry - you will not have to pay on arrival however we are still bound by our capacity limits so please be aware that we will not be holding your spots. If you arrive after capacity has been hit, you will not be permitted entry until someone leaves.
