Sydney Actors School: Year 10-12 Acting Workshop (Full Day)

Full Day Acting Workshop

This dynamic one day course offers students an introduction to both theatre and screen acting, designed to build confidence, creativity, and performance skills.

Theatre Acting (3 Hours)
Students will explore the fundamentals of live performance through:

• Improvisation exercises

• Scene work focused on character, relationships, and storytelling

• Ensemble-based activities that encourage collaboration and presence

Screen Acting (3 Hours)
Students will be introduced to the essentials of acting for camera, including:

• Character development and scene preparation techniques

• Understanding the differences between stage and screen performance

• Filming self-tapes with direction and feedback

By the end of the course, students will gain practical experience across both mediums, develop key acting tools, and leave with greater confidence in their performance abilities.

DAY STRUCTURE:

10am - 1pm: Theatre Acting Workshop

1pm - 2pm: Lunch Break

2pm - 5pm: Screen Acting Workshop
