Sydney Rotary - Celebrating the Joan Salter Award
Event description
Join us for an inspiring Rotary Sydney event as we hear from two outstanding recipients of the Joan Salter Award, highlighting the profound impact of this $45,000 three-year grant on their work with young people.
Speakers from the Top Blokes Foundation will share insights into their partnership with the UTS Kidman Centre, where the funding enabled a groundbreaking research project exploring the effectiveness of mentoring programs in improving young men's mental health and wellbeing.
We’ll also hear from Be Centre, this year’s Joan Salter Award recipient, who are collaborating with Deakin University to assess the outcomes of play therapy for children experiencing trauma. The findings will help shape best practices in early intervention and emotional support. This is a powerful opportunity to see how Rotary’s support is helping to deliver evidence-based, life-changing programs for vulnerable youth.
