Sydney Rotary - Don't miss our Changeover Celebration 2025, the year that was and the year to come!

Dear Members and Friends of the Rotary Club of Sydney 

We are delighted to invite you to join us for a major occasion in the Rotary Year: our annual Changeover event. This special event marks the transition of leadership within our club, a time to celebrate our achievements over the last 12 months and to look forward in anticipation to the coming year.  What will you bring to the celebration? Let's all make a commitment to do at least one good deed for our club and our community this coming year! 

We are sad that a number of our stalwart members have advised us that they will be out of town and cannot attend in person so we are providing an option for attendance via Zoom. Please do whatever you can to attend in one form or another, this is your club and we want you all to be part of this important event.

During this prestigious event, we will will hear from our departing President, Glenn Stafford, as he recognises Club Directors, Officers, Members and friends for their dedicated service and outstanding leadership shown over the past year. Our club has reached new heights and made significant strides in our community service initiatives over the year thanks to the tireless work of the band of members who turn up time after time. Glenn will present a review of the outstanding achievements of the Club, members and supporters over the past year as well as recognising the contributions of members who have epitomised our ethos of putting service before self. 

We are equally excited to welcome and induct Iurie Brinister as our incoming President for the 2025/2026 year. Iurie brings a wealth of experience, passion and commitment to the role. During the event, Iurie will share his plans and areas of focus for the coming year.

Over the past year our club has focussed our efforts on the following areas and we look forward to continuing this work into the upcoming Rotary year 2025/2026:

1. Community Engagement - enhancing our presence and impact within the Sydney community through collaborative projects and partnerships.
2. Youth Programs - expanding opportunities for young people through educational programs, scholarships, and leadership training.
3. Sustainability Initiatives -  promoting and implementing environmentally sustainable practices in our club activities and projects.
4. Member Development - fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for personal and professional growth among our members.
5. Global Outreach - strengthening our international connections and contributing to Rotary's global humanitarian efforts. 

This changeover event is not just a formality but a celebration of our club's resilience, commitment, and vision for a brighter future. We encourage all members, friends, and partners to attend and show their support for our outgoing and incoming Presidents, Board Members, Committee and Team leads and, most importantly, for all of your fellow Rotarians.
