The guest speaker at Sydney Rotary Club's lunchtime meeting on Tuesday 20th July will be eminent Sydney lawyer, Jason Li.

He will discuss "Gratitude for being Australian during Challenging Times."

Jason established Jason Li Lawyers in Sydney's CBD in 1999, practising in commercial litigation, insolvency, property, industrial relations, wills/probate, family and criminal law.

A graduate of the Australian Command and Staff College, he is a Major in the Australian Army Reserve. From 2007-2010, he deployed four times with the Regional Assistance Mission to the Solomon Islands, for which he was awarded the Australian Service Medal.

Jason instructs at his school The Scots College as a Cadet Instructor, and volunteers with the State Emergency Service as Unit Commander (Willoughby-Lane Cove Unit), with St John Ambulance as a Hub Leader (having previously been an Assistant Commissioner) and as Honorary Secretary of the Laperouse Museum.

He is also the Charter President of the Lions Club of Sydney Defence & Emergency Services, a Club he established to support veterans and victims of domestic violence and Zone 6 Chairman.

Multi-lingual, he is a keen golfer and pianist who performs at charitable and military functions, including for the Governor General, NSW Governor and the Commando Welfare Trust.
