Join us for a free two-hour walking tour of Centennial Park, where you'll discover how this area has contributed to Sydney's water supply since the early 19th century. Â
During the tour, you will:Â
-  learn about historic water schemes like Busby’s Bore and Botany Swamps, which provided water to Sydney from the 1830s to the 1880sÂ
- Â visit significant reservoirs built in the 19th and 20th centuries that still supply water to the city today.Â
- see how the parkland's swamps and ponds manage urban stormwater, reduce pollution, and recharge the Botany Aquifer. Â
This special tour will be led by Dr. Stuart Khan, a Professor and Head of the School of Civil Engineering at the University of Sydney.Â
