WHAT TO EXPECT

If you're seeking an escape into nature, this circuit will be a fantastic adventure for you. Let me paint the picture for you -

Imagine yourself surrounded by lush greenery, the air crisp and fresh, as you embark on a peaceful stroll through one of the most serene parts of the Blue Mountains. The South Lawson Waterfall Circuit offers an immersive experience in nature, with a mix of waterfalls, streams, and dense eucalyptus forests that will captivate your senses.

Highlights of the Circuit:

1. Waterfalls Galore
This circuit is famous for its stunning waterfalls, each more enchanting than the last. You’ll be treated to the Lower and Upper Lawson Falls, which cascade gracefully over moss-covered rocks. As you walk, you'll cross a series of charming bridges and viewing platforms, allowing you to admire the falls from different angles.

2. The Peaceful Forest Path
The track meanders through a magical forest of ferns and tall trees, offering plenty of shaded spots to relax and take in the sights. The trail is well-maintained, with clear signage to guide you, so you can just focus on the beauty of the surroundings.

3. Hidden Gems Along the Way
Aside from the waterfalls, the circuit reveals smaller, lesser-known streams and rock pools. At some points, the track even hugs the cliff edges, offering breathtaking views of the valley below. Look out for unique wildlife, like kangaroos, lyrebirds, and various species of native plants.

4. Perfect for Photography
Whether you're an amateur photographer or just love snapping beautiful moments, this circuit is a dream. The interplay of light and shadow in the forest, along with the shimmering waterfalls, provides endless opportunities for breathtaking shots.

It is recommended you bring your bathers as there's a very high chance Dan will be swimming and the water will be beckoning!

The walk has an elevation of 309m so there will be some tough sections and can be slippery. A decent level of fitness is required and hiking shoes are very highly recommended.

This walk is a real showstopper boasting some of the best views Sydney has to offer!
