Sydney Stories
Event description
Over three nights, local writers, reporters and musicians expose the true glamour, grit and grime of Sydney’s soul. This intellectual and visceral escapade navigates the deep and often dark character of our imperfect but beloved city.
Join us for an evening that melds two of the oldest known artforms, storytelling and music, across the old and new of Chippendale’s most interesting buildings. New tales, forgotten histories, and the beats and rhythms of our charismatic and surprising city come together across two architecturally striking venues: the Judith Neilson Institute for Journalism and Ideas, and Phoenix Central Park.
Your experience begins at the Judith Neilson Institute with Sydney storytellers, before moving on foot through the streets of Chippendale to nearby Phoenix, where a performance* by critically acclaimed Sydney songwriters perfectly rounds off the evening.
