Event description

Come and join our next meet up in September, cooking recipes by Gaz Oakley!

How it works:

  1. Purchase your ticket

  2. Pick your dish from Avant Garde (Either cookbooks or from the website here)

  3. Email/DM through your preferences with any dietaries

  4. Confirm of the dish selection and portions sent through a few days before the event

Let us know if you don't have access to the book and we can send you some recipes through!

What to Bring:

Please bring dishes pre-made to activity centre with a serving spoon!

Feel free to bring anything else you may need including Tupperware to eat/drink from and extra containers for any leftovers to keep food waste to a minimum!

Drinks will be provided.

Food Hygiene and Safety:

Please make sure to follow proper food safety guidelines while preparing your dish for this event. By purchasing a ticket, you acknowledge the potential food safety risks involved. If you have any dietary restrictions or allergies, please note that there may be traces of allergens in the food, and it is your responsibility to manage them. The event organiers are not liable for any health issues or reactions arising from the food prepared and shared during the event.

FAQs:

Do I need to be vegan to attend?

No, we welcome all dietary preferences. Whether you’re fully plant-based or just curious about vegan cuisine, everyone is welcome! Our focus is on promoting plant-based cooking and learning more about vegan recipes. We just ask that any dish you bring to the event is vegan to respect the format of the club.

Do I need to have a copy of the book?

No, we always focus on a cookbook, but if funds are tight or you can't get the book in time and still want to participate, there is usually a food blog for the author that you can get a recipe from! We recommend trying to get your book from the library first, and purchasing if you enjoy the dishes you have at the meet up!

Photography and Videography:

We may post footage from our events to our social media pages. Please let us know if you prefer not to be featured.
