SYDNEY Wax & Sensory Play w/ Kitty Obsidian

Do you love to play with candle flames? Do you shiver at the thought of a sharp knife trailing your skin? Have you wanted to incorporate sensations into your other play? Then this is for you!

An avid lover of wax play, knife connoisseur and a sensation hedonist Kitty is ready to share it all with you.

With a detailed look at safety, what to do if something does go wrong and techniques this workshop will primarily be a discussion with demonstrations and a chance to pick up and play with some different materials.

Fierce, fat and fAborigional! Kitty Obsidian is a proud Australian First Nations performer & staple in the caberet community travelling worldwide! Hailed as aggressively queer, this non-binary finery picks up tag lines, admirers & accolades no matter where they go. Teacher and mentor at Bottoms up Pole & Burlesque school, Kitty has created the Haus of Obsidian. An all BIPOC, queer drag family dedicated to mentoring and uplifting fellow artists. VIC NAIDOC LGBTIQ+ person of the year 2022, GLOBE award finalist for contribution to the arts 2023: Kitty loves to bring their award winning brand of activism to their art. In addition, they are known for being a public speaker and educational facilitator for queer and trans rights, disability and body acceptance and on the interseconality of this with their indigenous culture.

Specialising in sideshow & fetish burlesque, Kitty is a lifelong kinkster. Working in the fetish community since they were legally allowed to, they have been an educator, events creator & host all over Australia. Dubbed 'the jewel in Melbourne's kinky crown' by Melbourne Rubber they often work alongside other kinksters to provide premium fetish performances, skillshares & events.

WHEN? 12-2pm, Sunday 22nd September. Ticket sales close on Saturday 21st September at 7pm.

WHERE? NEW SOUTH WALES / Private Annandale venue close to PT, exact address provided to ticket holders the day before the event with details of parking and transport. 

ACCESSIBILITY: There is a steep flight of stairs with 2 turns up into the workshop space of the venue, please reach out to us if this may be of concern to you so that we can provide more information! Inside the venue there are 3 steps leading down to the hallway to the kichen area, and another 3 steps leading down into the kitchen space which leads to the bathroom.

NEW TICKETING STRUCTURE TRIAL

We have added a a pay-what-you-can/want ticket - to help support the community and those who may not be able to afford the full price ticket of $80, this is an option where you can pay what you can. There is no upper limit on this ticket, so if you feel like subsidising those who purchase lower priced tickets, or giving a little extra to the facilitator to support us, this is your option!

We believe in both accessibility for the community, as well as making sure our facilitators are paid appropriately for their erotic / intellectual labours, so this is our solution to hold space for both with a minimum of fuss!
