Description

Stirling Libraries invites you to “Symphony of Stories” with the MetSO Intermediate String Orchestra (MISO).

There is nothing quite like music and storytelling to capture the imagination and take you on an adventure. Join MISO for a captivating performance featuring some of the world’s most beloved symphonic melodies, beautifully interwoven with an original story that will delight audiences of all ages.

Presented by the Metropolitan Intermediate String Orchestra (MISO), “Symphony of Stories” showcases a rich tapestry of works by renowned composers including Beethoven, Haydn, Tchaikovsky and Dvořák. Discover the surprise behind Haydn’s Surprise Symphony, learn where Dvořák first heard the theme that inspired his New World Symphony, and uncover what makes the opening four notes of Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony so instantly recognisable.
