SYMPHORIA - Music in Motion
Event description
Symphoria: Inaugural Concert
Experience the debut performance of Symphoria, a vibrant new string ensemble made up of exceptional St Peters Lutheran College old scholar musicians, led by conductor David Deacon. Known for their expressive interpretations and the integration of physical movement, Symphoria offers a fresh and engaging take on the string orchestra tradition.
The program features a stunning blend of classical treasures and vocal brilliance, including Svendsen’s Icelandic Melody, Corelli’s beloved Christmas Concerto, and the rich romanticism of Coleridge-Taylor’s Novelletten for Strings.
Joining the ensemble are fellow St Peters alumni and rising vocal talents, soprano Cassie Barnett and baritone Nic Wallace, performing operatic favourites by Mozart, Bellini, and Rachmaninoff.
Don’t miss this unforgettable evening of artistry, connection, and musical storytelling.
