Step into the heart of Syrian cuisine with Racha’s Syrian Kitchen and learn how to make one of Damascus’s most beloved vegetarian dishes —
Harra’a Be Esba’o.
🌿 Known as “Burn Your Finger,” this hearty, nourishing Levantine dish is packed with lentils, garlic, coriander, tamarind, fried bread, and pomegranate molasses. It’s a completely vegetarian meal that’s perfect for cooler weather, yet so vibrant and refreshing it can be enjoyed cold during summer.
What You’ll Experience:
From flour to feast, you’ll be guided through each step of creating Harra’a Be Esba’o:
🥣 Dough Making – Learn how to prepare and knead a smooth, elastic dough, perfect for cutting into fettuccine-like strips and crisped squares for garnish.
🍲 Building the Stew – Simmer lentils with garlic, tamarind, and caramelised onions, then gently cook the dough strips in the stew. Finish with an aromatic garlic-coriander oil and top with crispy fried dough and sweet, caramelized onions for layers of texture and bold Syrian flavor.
