Systemic Coach Training - Online Explorer Programme

Live trainings from 12pm - 3:30pm, NZST on 7, 14 and 28 September 2021. 

Systemic Mapping and Systemic Constellations are powerful transformational tools used to illuminate problematic issues and previously unseen dynamics in a whole new way for coaches and their clients. Participants will experience facilitating a number of different systemic exercises which will be learned on this intensive 12 hour training course which takes place in stages over a 4-week period with the Systemic Coach Academy of New Zealand. 

This extraordinary way of working allows us to access the clients ‘felt sense’ of issues and relationships. It is particularly useful when clients or team members are “going round and round in their heads” trying to resolve problems or disentangle themselves from the past patterns of systems they belong to and are influenced by.

This work is firmly rooted in the principle of respect for every client’s ability to explore and resolve their own issues. The coach or facilitator acts not as an advisor or expert during this type of intervention, but as a resource for safely and creatively processing and exploring issues, as well as facilitating structured reflection and gaining new insights.The Explorer Course includes discussion, course resources and practice around the following:

• Systems thinking and systemic principles
• Somatic awareness and bodywork
• Outlining the ‘stance & principles’ for the effective systemic coach or facilitator
• Discovering through doing the power of the methodology of constellations
• Discovering and working with representative objects 
• The importance and relevance of boundaries, orientation and distance in constellations
• Reading maps and exploring alternative perspectives or ‘lenses’
• Mining for fresh information and revelations
• Identifying systemic issues and selecting appropriate exercises
• Table-top constellation instruction and practice
• Reflections and opportunities for further learning

12 hours of ICF Approved CCE's pending. 

This course takes place in 3 distinct blocks over a 4-week period, allowing for a manageable amount of screen time, practice time and reflective time, and also allows live access from a number of time zones. 

The learning style is interactive and practical, and is specifically designed to enhance positive learning experience online. With the current context in mind, and recognising the predominance of online coaching, all techniques will be taught as virtual tools with exploration of how to ensure they are also highly impactful in a face to face setting.

The course is facilitated by Kathy Tracey and  Alyson Garrido, co-founders of the Sytemic Coach Academy of New Zealand. 

Kathy is a Master Credentialed Coach (MCC), holds a Bachelor of Social Work and a Masters in Education (Professional Studies). She coached senior leaders in Government and Private sector organisations in Europe, where she lived for 25 years, and continues her practice now she is home in Aotearoa New Zealand. She also runs a coastal retreat for business owners, and is active in the leadership of the International Coach Federation in Australasia.

Kathy studied Systemic Mapping & Coaching Constellations under the tutelage of John Whittington in London, the author of Systemic Coaching and Constellations (now in 3rd Edition). She completed intensive Practitioner level training in 2015 and in 2018 completed a 2 year long study of Constellation Practice "The Path to Mastery'. Kathy is constantly learning from other practitioners including attending workshops with Judith Hemming, Ty Francis, Klaus Horn, Ingala Robl and Lyn Storey, working to build her knowledge and practice. Kathy uses Systemic Mapping and Coaching Constellations with her corporate and business clients, and for providing coach supervision & mentoring.

Alyson Garrido is a Professional Credentialed Coach (PCC) and has been introduced to constellation work and the power of the somatic experience by her work with Street Wisdom and by being an early adopter of systemic mapping in coaching in New Zealand.  She is working alongside Kathy bringing her energy and engagement skills to the course, as well as her expertise in mapping and constellations methodology. She is an experienced international Career Coach, and also facilitates learning and development workshops in both the public and private sectors.
