International Students Meetup - Speedfriending - Trivia - Karaoke

Come join us at the International Student Welcome Centre from O-Week to Week 1 for any (or all!) of our activities. No repeats, all unique events. Whether your jam is hanging out with people, flexing your knowledge about different cultures, or trying your best to hit all the notes to your favourite songs, we've got you!

International Student Meetup

Swing by for the first Welcome Centre event and catch up with old friends, make new ones, and grab a few bites to eat during the catered International Student Meetup! This is the perfect opportunity to swing by and see what's up - so why not? Our Cultural Mentors will also be available to answer any questions you have about settling in at UNSW!

Speedfriending

Join our friendly Cultural Mentors in two fun ice-breaking activities to get to know each other! You can try to find your person with our super fun Bingo game. Find someone wearing the same coloured socks as you, find somewhere who has the same Subway order as you! Then, we get deeper and ask some questions you've never thought about... which superhero would you take with you to a zombie apocalypse? 

Trivia

So you wanna know more about UNSW? So you think you can blow the other students out of the water with your UNSW knowledge? Join us for a fun 1 hour trivia to learn more about UNSW, make some new friends, and win some awesome prizes!

Picture This - Photobooth and Pot Plant

Come on in for a first ever Picture This event during Wednesday week 1! Snap some start-of-uni memories at our photo booth and pick up a FREE pot plant to grow with you through your university journey!

Karaoke

Whether you like Taylor Swift, IVE or TF Boys, we've got your back! Join this event to belt out your feelings about Week 1, wow everyone with your amazing skills, or just to sing a song or two! Snacks and drinks will be provided.

What else is happening?

Aside from all our events above, the Welcome Centre will be open from 11:00AM - 3:00PM on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday during O-week and week 1. You can stop by any time to get a leg up starting out your UNSW journey. In addition to our exceptional Mentors there to help, we will also have arcade machines that you can pop in and play any time during O-week and goody bags full of Aussie snacks + all sorts of other things (you'll just have to come in to find out!).
