Tacos and Bicycles

Join us on multi-stop bike ride to three local Mexican restaurants around the suburbs!

We’re doing things a bit differently this time - this event will be ticketed at $40 (plus booking fee). A ticket includes a curated a menu of food at every spot, and hear some history of the food and the local business behind the spaces. The ticket price excludes any drinks you want on the day.

Cost a barrier? We have a limited number of pay-what-you-can tickets available, thanks to Bike Auckland's micro-grants!

The Plan:

12pm – Meet at Sagrado Cantina on Karanga-a-hape road for a drink and starters to kick things off!

1:15pm – We’ll head off to Tex-Mex at El Zapata in New Lynn.

3:45pm – Taco Loco Mt Albert for Dessert, and anything else you want!

Sign up for tickets, and let us know your dietaries. Tickets are limited!

Route length: just under 20km.

With Bike Auckland's micro-grant funding, we can release a limited number of pay-what-you-can tickets starting at just $5! These tickets are intended to support anyone for whom the cost of participating is currently a barrier. It will operate the same as a full-priced ticket - it will cover all shared food throughout the event. No application, questions or assessment process. Just chose the price that's comfortable for you at check-out.

As a volunteer group, we try to make the ride as accessible, fun and safe as possible. The ride will only be for those 18+, and as you’re all adults, you will ultimately be responsible for your safety during the ride.
