Climate change has been heralded as one of the most significant and complex challenges of the 21st century. More and more communities globally are experiencing the effects of climate change and are concerned about challenges spanning rising sea levels to increasing severity and frequency of natural disasters and more. Some communities have started tackling plastic pollution, managing retreats from coastal developments, introducing carbon credits, or taking other actions.
What are communities across Malaysia and Australia already doing? Where do we need to rapidly progress change? And how can we involve communities in proactive climate action that is just, fair, and doesn’t leave people behind?
