Taking Stock and Aiming High: Planning for the 2026 school year - Online workshop
Event description
Taking Stock and Aiming High: Planning for the 2026 school year
The end of the school year can bring different feelings for families of students with disability – sometimes relief if it has been a challenging year of advocacy; perhaps sadness if it has been a great year of inclusion and progress, and worry about whether the new year will bring the same positive experience.
This workshop will support families to:
• Reflect on positives and negatives of the past school year
• Identify successful approaches to build upon next year (while they are still fresh in your mind!)
• Prioritise what you would like to see improve for your child in 2026
• Effectively communicate the information most critical for successful inclusion to next year’s teacher/s
This online workshop will be delivered by CRU facilitators passionate about inclusive education and experienced in advocating for inclusion.
Who should attend:
Parents and carers of school-aged children (Prep to Year 12) with disability. Parents and carers of younger children who are starting to think about/ prepare for the school years are also most welcome to attend.
Learning objectives
This free workshop will help you to revise goals, note helpful adjustments, prioritise what is most important and to prepare for important communication with your child’s teacher/s for the 2026 school year.
