Taking Stock and Aiming High: Preparing for the 2021 School Year - ONLINE WORKSHOP (Evening)
Event description
Families for Inclusive Education - Online Learning Workshop for Parents
This is an online evening workshop
CRU, with the support of the QLD Department of Education, presents this workshop for parents and family members of a student with a disability.
The end of the school year can bring different feelings for families of students with disability – sometimes relief if it has been a challenging year of advocacy; perhaps sadness if it has been a great year of inclusion and progress, and worry about whether the new year will bring the same positive experience.
This interactive online workshop will support families to:
- Reflect on positives and negatives of the past school year
- Identify successful approaches to build upon next year (while they are still fresh in your mind!)
- Prioritise what they would like to see improve for their child in 2021
- Effectively communicate the information most critical for successful inclusion to next year’s teacher/s
The session will involve input on the topic and question time.
