Celebrate National Eucalypt Day with a drawing workshop focused on the Red Tingle and Red-Flowering Gums of the Walpole Wilderness. Dr Elizabeth Edmonds, 2023 Dahl Fellow and local artist, will guide you in drawing and layering techniques while deepening your understanding of their ecology. Whether you're a beginner or experienced artist, you'll gain new inspiration and a stronger connection to these unique trees.
About the Workshop:
In this half-day workshop, Elizabeth will present various drawing techniques that she employs in creating pieces for her forthcoming exhibition, ‘Tale of Two Trees’, at the Painted Tree Gallery in May 2025.
No experience required.
What participants need to bring:
Please bring any drawing materials (e.g. sketchbook, pen or pencil) and a picture of a Eucalypt tree you would like to draw.
Catering:
Tea/coffee and refreshments will be available. Please advise us of any dietary requirements.
