Join us for an in-person roundtable addressing skill shortages in regional Tasmania through skilled refugee employment with Dr Sally Baker from the Australian National University and Louna Ghawi from the global NGO Talent Beyond Boundaries (TBB). As part of a national research project, this roundtable will bring together employers, community leaders, and employment and settlement service providers to explore barriers and opportunities in recruiting skilled refugees for regional businesses.
The event will feature insights from leading researchers and industry experts, as well as a discussion on how initiatives like Talent Beyond Boundaries’ Skilled Refugee Labour Agreement Pilot can support workforce needs while fostering inclusive communities and are open for anyone to discuss labour challenges and potential opportunities for skilled refugees to fill vacancies.
