Join Autumn House Press at White Whale Bookstore for a night of your favorite Pittsburgh artists reading from their favorite spooky literature; tarot card readings by PGH Astrology to answer your deepest questions; drinks and snacks; and time to commune with friends and fellow literary lovers.
We will also offer three different raffle baskets, including:
Local Literary Love: Tickets to select Pittsburgh Arts and Lectures events plus books by Adriana Ramirez, Sony Ton-Aime, Cameron Barnett, and Jan Beatty
Sports Fans Unite: Steelers Tickets and select books engaging with the theme of sports
Tales and Tarot: Receive an astrological chart prepared by PGH Astrology; The Pittsburgh Tarot: A Gilded Age Deck, and select books from Autumn House Press

Tarot readings will take place every 15 minutes throughout the entire evening. If you are interested in a reading, we strongly encourage you to purchase the ticket that includes a reading as otherwise, we cannot guarantee a spot!
Lineup
Cameron Barnett
Cameron Barnett is a poet and teacher from Pittsburgh. He is the author of Murmur and The Drowning Boy’s Guide to Water, the winner of the Autumn House Press Rising Writer Prize and a finalist for an NAACP Image Award. He graduated from Duquesne University and earned an MFA in creative writing from the University of Pittsburgh. Other honors include a 2019 Carol R. Brown Creative Achievement Award for Emerging Artist and serving as the ’22-’24 Emerging Black Writer in Residence at Chatham University. Cameron teaches at his middle school alma mater, Falk Laboratory School. His work explores the complexity of race, place, and relationships for Black people in America.
Jan Beatty
Jan Beatty is the author of six previous collections of poetry, most recently Dragstripping and Jackknife: New and Selected Poems, which won the Paterson Poetry Prize. Her memoir, American Bastard, won the Red Hen Nonfiction Prize. Beatty has worked as a waitress, in abortion clinics, and in maximum-security prisons and is professor emerita at Carlow University, where she directed the MFA and creative writing programs and the Madwomen in the Attic writing workshops.
Sadie Hamm/PGH Astrology
Sadie Hamm is a writer, content creator, performer, and witch based out of Pittsburgh, PA. With a background in creative writing, comedic podcasting, and existential dread that doesn’t allow her to take anything too seriously, lest she spiral into the gaping void, Sadie likes to approach astrology and tarot with a light touch. It’s about co-creating meaning together, having a laugh, and affirming our place in community.
Adriana E. Ramírez
Adriana E. Ramírez is a writer, critic, and poet based in Pittsburgh. She is the author of The Violence: My Family’s Colombian War (Scribner, 2026), the 2015 PEN/Fusion Emerging Writer’s Prize-winning Dead Boys (Little A, 2016), and The Swallows: Poems (Blue Sketch Press, 2016). Ramírez is also a former critic-at-large for the Los Angeles Times’s Book Section and the former columnist and books editor at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. She is the cofounder of Aster(ix) Journal with Angie Cruz. Her writing has also appeared in the Atlantic, the Boston Globe, People Magazine, and elsewhere. She once lost terribly on Jeopardy!.
Sony Ton-Aime
Sony Ton-Aime is a Haitian poet, essayist, translator, and the executive director of Pittsburgh Arts and Lectures. Previously, he served as the Michael I. Rudell Director of Literary Arts at Chautauqua Institution. He is the author of the chapbook LaWomann, the Haitian Creole translation of Olympic Hero: The Lennox Kilgour’s Story, co-author of the Haitian Creole course on Duolingo, and co-founding editor of ID13. His work has appeared in Artful Dodge, Consequence Forum, Poets.org, Idaho Review, Hunger Mountain Review, and Cleveland Review of Books, among others.
Treasure Treasure
Treasure Treasure is a performing artist, comic, composer and multi-instrumentalist. Her work has carried her to Broadway, Lincoln Center, and The Kennedy Center, as well as local institutions such as the Carnegie Museum of Art and City Theatre. Her recent star turn in Hedwig & The Angry Inch broke box office records. Treasure’s original score for The Tempest was first produced by Southwest Shakespeare Company. Her latest release, “HYPNEROTOMACHIA: Expansion Pack,” is available on all platforms and is in frequent rotation on 91.3 WYEP Pittsburgh. instagram: @wowitstreasure
Ricardo A. Vila-Roger
Ricardo Vila-Roger is a Puerto Rican theatre actor, director, and intimacy choreographer based in Pittsburgh. Local audiences may recognize him from recent shows at the Pittsburgh Public Theater, including Murder on the Orient Express and Noises Off at the O’Reilly Theater. He is also a teaching professor in the University of Pittsburgh Department of Theatre Arts, where he teaches acting and directing and directs some of their mainstage productions.
