Join us for our next Talk on the Wild Side where we will learn all about our native Geckos and Skinks!
Our speaker is Anna Yeoman, author of the book Geckos & Skinks: The Remarkable Lizards of Aotearoa.
A lover of Aotearoa’s wildlife and wild landscapes from earliest childhood, Anna Yeoman fell for lizards when she began volunteering at Mokomoko Dryland Sanctuary in Central Otago five years ago.
After studying science communication at the University of Otago, she started to write about New Zealand’s geckos and skinks for magazines including New Zealand Geographic and North & South.
Anna now works as a ranger at the sanctuary, and in her spare time adventures in the outdoors with her husband Ollie
and their young family, and keeps an eye out for lizards.
Doors open from 5.30pm, talk begins at 6pm,and will run for about an hour plus question time.
There will be a bar open for drink purchases.
