Tenth Anniversary Gala Ball 2026: Your Story Isn’t Over Yet

Ten years ago, Talk Out Loud began with a conversation that should never have been necessary.

It began with loss, with heartbreak and a refusal to let silence win.

What started as unimaginable grief became a promise — that no young person would feel alone in their darkest moment.

In the decade since, that promise has grown into a movement.

“10 Years – Your Story Isn’t Over Yet” is more than a gala theme.

It speaks to every young person who has walked through our doors unsure if tomorrow was worth facing.
It speaks to every parent, every volunteer, every supporter who chose to lean in rather than look away.
It speaks to the quiet but powerful truth that even when a chapter feels unbearable, the story can continue.

At the heart of this story is my teenage brother, Enzo. His life, and the devastating loss of it, changed the trajectory of mine forever. In his name, and because of him, Talk Out Loud was born. What began as grief has become a community that has supported thousands of young people across South Australia.

As guests enter the evening, they will walk past the ENSO circle, a symbol of continuity, connection and strength, alongside a gallery of moments from the past ten years. It is a reminder that while pain may shape us, it does not get to define the ending.

Over the past decade, Talk Out Loud has:

• Created safe spaces where young people feel seen and heard
• Delivered empowerment camps that change trajectories
• Built Real Talk conversations that challenge stigma
• Trained leaders who once felt invisible
• Turned community courage into tangible action

This night honours every person who has stepped into that circle.

It celebrates resilience.

It acknowledges growth.

And it recommits us to the next decade — stronger, more sustainable, and even more courageous in the work ahead.

Because the truth at the centre of everything we do is this:

Your story isn’t over yet.

And neither is ours.
