    At work, unconscious bias can impact who receives services, who services are designed for, and outcomes for people who are like us, or not like us. In this webinar you will learn how unconscious bias can impact how you view your clients.

    • What you can do to reduce your biases

    This webinar is for all staff members or students at any level. It will benefit anyone interested in the topic of bias and how it might play out in work or home life.

    Meet Your Webinar Host:

    Andrew Richardson, Chair of the AHANA Board and Coordinator of the AHA Global CPD Community of Practice at The Allied Health Academy.

    Andrew is the Chair of the AHANA Board and AHA Global CPD collective Coordinator for the Academy. He has worked as an Allied Health Assistant for Canberra Health Services since 2015. Since 2020 he has also been the Profession Lead for the AHA workforce across ACT Health; a role which entails assisting with the governance, and initial and ongoing credentialling, of the AHA workforce. Prior to working for Canberra Health Services, Andrew worked as an AHA in a residential aged care facility. 


    Meet Your Webinar Presenters:
    Andrea Gaddie, Trainer and eLearning Developer, Centre for Culture, Ethnicity & Health. 

    Andrea is a specialist trainer and eLearning developer, educating groups in cultural competence and health literacy. She is a people person who connects with her dynamic communication style and has 10 years experience in health services, with a passion for education. Andrea holds degrees in arts and health sciences and spent many years in the natural health industry training health care practitioners.  

    Tristan Pagniello-Priolo, Training Officer, Centre for Culture, Ethnicity & Health. 

    Tristan grew up in a multicultural, multilingual household, and has always been eager to learn more about communication and culture. She has a variety of experience, studying linguistics and translation, teaching English to children in Spain, and working in the translation industry, retail, and health services. This experience gives Tristan a unique perspective, having crossed paths with people of such varied backgrounds.
