Tasmania Devils: What does it mean for Northern Tasmania?

The Devils are coming – is your business ready for the opportunity?

Join the Launceston Chamber of Commerce for our Tamar Valley Leaders Lunch as we look at what the arrival of the Tasmania Devils could mean for Launceston, Northern Tasmania and our business community.

We’ll hear directly from The Hon. Roger Jaensch MP, Minister for Tourism, Hospitality and Events, who will broaden the conversation to Northern Tasmania’s visitor economy and the Government’s plans to support future growth.

Minister Jaensch will discuss the Northern Economic Plan and how government can help businesses and the region prepare for increased demand, including the infrastructure that supports growth – from transport and access through to water, waste and other enabling infrastructure.

We will also be joined by Brendon Gale, CEO of the Tasmania Football Club, about the club’s plans, its connection with Northern Tasmania and the opportunities its arrival could create across the region.

With the Devils expected to drive increased attention and visitation, what could that mean for local businesses? How do we turn more people coming to our region into demand for accommodation, hospitality, retail, experiences and services? Where are the opportunities for suppliers, partnerships and investment – and what should businesses be thinking about now?

This is about more than football. It is about being ready to capture the opportunity.

Come along, hear what’s ahead and consider how your business can be part of Northern Tasmania’s next chapter.
