For over 25 years, Brainwave has shared vital knowledge about early childhood and adolescent development, informed by scientific research, mātauranga Māori, and lived experiences. Your support enables us to make this research accessible to those who impact the lives of pēpi, tamariki, rangatahi, and their whānau. Together, we can make a lasting difference. Brainwave Trust Aotearoa supports decision makers, kaimahi, parents and wider whānau with evidence-based information drawn from the latest scientific child development research, mātauranga Māori and lived experience. We gather research, build resources, and develop educational workshops and wānanga to help navigate the early years and beyond, supporting lifelong well-being of tamariki, and better societal outcomes across the board. Focusing on child development and wellbeing education, we explore how tamariki develop, and how their experiences impact on their oranga, now and into the future. We do this based on science and indigenous knowledge. Brainwave is a charitable trust that aims to educate everyone involved in the life of a child about the importance of early experiences on child development and their lifelong impact. Brainwave has no political or religious affiliations and is known for relying on strong evidence and for the scientific integrity of all its material. Brainwave Trust has a passionate team of kaiako who share our findings with whānau and rōpū across the country. Brainwave aims to expand the reach of child development knowledge and ensure it lands with the people who can make the biggest impact. We do this through: ● Strategic engagement with decision makers, policy makers and influencers ● Wānanga and workshops that empower communities and professionals ● Social media and digital content that spreads practical knowledge ● Media and storytelling that changes public conversations ● Partnerships with schools, iwi, service providers and funders Brainwave’s mahi is not just about raising awareness. It is about embedding knowledge into systems, policies and leadership; sustaining ripples long enough for them to grow into waves of transformation. http://www.brainwave.org.nz
