Come join us for an engaging roundtable discussion with Green Party MP Tamatha Paul. Tamatha will firstly discuss her career from VUWSA President to Wellington Councilor to now being a Member of Parliament. We will then open the floor for questions and interactive discussion, followed opportunity to talk to Tamatha one on one. 

Tamatha Paul, hailing from the mighty Tokoroa is a New Zealand born activist and  a Member of Parliament for Wellington Central. In 2018, she was the first Māori wāhine to be elected the President of VUWSA. Running as an independent in 2019 for the WCC elections in the Pukehīnau/ Lambton ward, Tamatha won her seat by a significant margin; garnering 2,770 votes. More recently, Paul has been sworn into Parliament as the Green candidate for Wellington Central and the PolSoc is incredibly privileged to host her at our very first event - a Roundtable
