Description

Are you caring for someone at home? Do you know anybody in Bridgetown who is in a caring role? This morning tea offers an opportunity to connect with locals, get information and support.

The topic for our morning tea event is Taming the Mind: Managing and understanding scary thoughts.

Our professional presenter will provide strategies, tips and tricks for managing scary thoughts. The presenter is to be confirmed.

The event is funded by and held in collaboration with Carer's WA. This event celebrates Carer's Week 2026 from 11 to 18 October.

National Carers Week is an annual event that recognises and celebrates the more than 3 million Australians who provide unpaid care to family members or friends with disability, mental health conditions, chronic or terminal illnesses, alcohol or drug issues, or frailty due to age.

The 2026 theme, “Care for a Carer: Making carers visible,” highlights the importance of acknowledging carers’ contributions and encourages communities to support and care for them.

Find out what support is available through Carer's WA, represented by Julie Milloy, Southwest Coordinator of Carer's WA.

Refreshments will be provided. No need to bring a plate of food to share.

This is a FREE Event. All welcome!
