Tanya Sparke (vocal, guitar) and Peter Dasent (piano) with guests

Tanya Sparke is a singer/songwriter and choral arranger/director. She has a singular voice and a style that sits in-between jazz and folk, and thankfully transcends both. Her songs are deeply personal and highly original, with a commitment to melody and poetry above all else.   

Peter Dasent is a pianist and composer who led his own ensemble the Umbrellas for many years and has composed music for film and TV, most notably Peter Jackson’s Heavenly Creatures. He has released a solo album of his piano music Songs For Solo Piano (recorded at Abbey Road), and if you’ve watched PlaySchool in the last 25 years - that’s him on the piano.

Tanya and Peter have a long history of recording and performing together, and this is their first collaboration for some time. Tanya will be singing her own songs, old and new, with special guest backing vocalists. Peter will accompany Tanya and her guitar, and play some solo piano pieces
