TANZPRO

Join the first community Tanzpro session in Canberra on Sunday 15th September in Hackett. 

What does a session entail?

There are 3 parts to each session. 
First, we explore another country through a shared story. Each story has different themes that highlight values around joy, friendship, care for living beings and courage. 

Second, there is a session of dance and imaginary play with curated music around these values and Country. 
Thirdly, the children are invited into an art process around their experiences.

How much is a class?

For the first taster session it's $10 per child (6-11 year olds). There is also the option to make a donation to the hall hire instead
Carers and parents are welcome to join in and for you it's free.

What do the children get out of Tanzpro?

This is designed as a 10 week program which supports children to develop an awareness of self perception, growing their identity, and developing their self-confidence. 

Through the different sessions they will learn to:

• Express their potential
• Have courage to take risks through creativity
• Have respect for each other
• Feel cared for

TANZPRO's History

The School of Empathy.

Prof. Dr. Marcus Stueck and Dr. Alejandra Villegas developed, scientifically researched, and evaluated Biodanza programs from 2008.

TANZPRO, including other methods and ‘School of Empathy’ involved many professionals and educators, 1800 children and 22 kindergartens and schools over a 4 year period, as part of a German Federal Ministry of Health Project. This was led by Prof. Dr. Marcus Stueck and the results are presented at www.bionet.name.

The frame concept ‘School of Empathy’ was developed after long term research at the University of Leipzig by Psychologist Prof. Dr. Marcus Stueck. After many years of work in educational fields he discovered the radical integration from two pathways (verbal and non-verbal) into one model of Empathy (Stueck 2010)
