Our first Creative Pearls programme for 2025 features Jasmine Tuiā, a talented tapa maker who uses embroidery to explore Sāmoan material culture and memory.
Tapa Su’i is more than just a workshop—it’s an opportunity to deepen your connection to siapo traditions in a supportive and educational space. Whether you’re new to tapa or already have knowledge of siapo, this hands-on session will nurture your passion and inspire you to continue the practice.
Through stitching and embroidery, you’ll explore Siapo Mamanu, learn key siapo terminology, and gain insight into its cultural significance.
