TasFarmers Dairy Industry Forum 2026
Description
Tuesday 3 November 2026 | 6:30pm–8:30pm
Circular Head Community & Recreation Centre, Smithton
TasFarmers invites dairy farmers and industry representatives to join us in Smithton for an evening focused on the future of Tasmania’s dairy industry.
This is an opportunity to bring the dairy community together, hear directly from farmers and industry leaders, share perspectives and explore what the next decade could look like for dairy in Tasmania.
Dairy 2035 – What Will a Successful Tasmanian Dairy Farm Look Like?
At the heart of the evening will be an interactive, farmer-led panel exploring how successful dairy businesses may look and operate over the next decade.
We’ll discuss the opportunities and challenges ahead, including building profitable and resilient dairy businesses, productivity and efficiency, water and climate, workforce and succession, new technology and innovation, and what could give Tasmania’s dairy industry a competitive advantage into the future.
We’ll also hear from a special guest speaker on Farming for the Future, sharing their experience of leading through change, building a successful agricultural business and embracing new opportunities.
Most importantly, we want to hear from you.
The evening will finish with The Big Dairy Question: If you could change one thing for Tasmania’s dairy industry tomorrow, what would it be?
Your perspectives will help TasFarmers better understand the issues and opportunities that matter to industry and inform our future dairy priorities.
