Tasmanian Accessibility Community - August Virtual Meetup
Event description
Join us this August for a virtual session on emergency preparedness through a disability lens.
Our guest speaker, Richard Witbreuk, will share insights from his work as an Emergency Preparedness Facilitator at the Tasmanian State Emergency Service, and how we can better support accessible planning for emergencies and disasters.
Richard has a background in urban planning, accessible tourism and transport, and has held roles with ParaQuad Tasmania, Disability Voices Tasmania, and as chair of the National Inclusive Transport Advocacy Network. He now works with communities across lutruwita/Tasmania to make emergency preparedness more inclusive.
What to expect:
A short presentation on "Getting Ready for Emergencies"
