Join us for the Tasmanian Launch of National Skills Week 2025, taking place on Thursday, 28th August from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at Drysdale Restaurant, TASTAFE Collins Street Campus , 59 Collins Street Hobart. 

This evening event will bring together key figures from government, industry, and education to celebrate the achievements and future of skills and vocational training in Tasmania. Guests will enjoy an inspiring program in a vibrant setting, with opportunities to connect, share insights, and recognise the critical role of skills in shaping the state’s workforce. Business attire is required, and registration is essential. We look forward to welcoming you to this special occasion.

Program Highlights

  • Keynote Address and remarks from by Minister Skills and Training. [To be confirmed- pending election]

  • Welcome address by TasTAFE Interim CEO Will McShane.

  • National Skills Week launch and remarks, Brian Wexham CEO and Chair

  • Panel Discussion: Introduction and storytelling from an amazing group of people representing the best in skills excellence drawn from Tasmanian Industry and the Tasmanian Training awards.

  • Opportunity to connect with TasTAFE team, VET Stakeholders, Industry professionals, SkillsOne team, and others. 

    The event offers a valuable opportunity to network and share ideas with industry and government leaders, and key stakeholders across the VET sector.
