Event description

Join independent economist, Saul Eslake, for a discussion about Tasmania’s financial future. Saul’s recently released review of the State's finances highlight alarming trends, including growing deficits and ballooning debt, projecting that Tasmania could face a fiscal crisis unless significant changes are made.

What does this mean for the future of our state, and what should we be asking of our leaders?

This event provides a timely opportunity to explore whether the latest budget addresses the pressing issues raised in the report—or if more significant measures are needed. Don’t miss this chance to engage with one of Australia’s foremost economic minds and understand the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead for Tasmania.
