Event description

Michelini Mufatto is a family project born in the Andes, where Matías Michelini, his wife Gerardi Mufatto, and their son Manuel crafted expressive, high-altitude wines in Argentina’s Uco Valley. Known for their minimal intervention approach and deep connection to terroir, their wines quickly gained cult status for their purity and energy. The Michelini family is not short of terroirs to explore in their native Argentina, but they continue to amaze with the amount and quality of the projects they get involved with in South America.

Now the family has gone a step further and taken its craft and vision to Spain, where they have set a firm foot in Bierzo. The family brings that same philosophy to the old vines and wild landscapes of northwestern Spain. The wines are electric and soulful, balancing mountain freshness with Atlantic influence.

This tasting features 3 wines from their Spanish expressions—but with roots that run deep into the Andes. Come taste the evolution of one of South America’s most compelling winemaking families. Two traditional grapes are showcased - Godello brings bright acidity and a saline snap, while Mencía offers silky texture and savory, mountain-grown depth.

Wines include:
2022 Godello, Bierzo, Spain
2022 En El Camino, Mencia, Bierzo, Spain
2021 A Merced, Mencia, Bierzo, Spain

This is a drop-in event. Tastings start at 5pm and last tasting started at 7:30pm.
