Event description

Resistance Art: Tatreez for Peace in Gaza
Wednesday 25th June | 11am–12:30pm
Shared World Collective – hosted by The Full Circle Collective

Join us in a powerful act of solidarity through stitch and connection!

This participatory art project invites you to contribute to the embroidery of a traditional Palestinian abaya dress, using red thread cross-stitch (tatreez) to represent the lives lost in Gaza since October 7th 2023. Through each stitch, we honour the memories of those affected and amplify voices for peace and an end to hostilities.

Tatreez is a deeply rooted Palestinian art form, rich with cultural symbolism and unique to each village and region. As we sit together in a circle of compassion and resistance, we will share hand embroidery, conversation, and tea.

$5 - payable on the day, includes a pot of your choice of tea from our curated selection of delicious, ethically sourced blends.
