FREE Tatreez & Business Advice Workshop

Celebrate Palestinian heritage and delve into the world of Palestinian embroidery (tatreez). In this workshop, we will deep dive into the rich roots of tatreez, learning about embroidery practices and styles - particularly those originating from Gaza.
This workshop will be an introduction to tatreez where you will have the opportunity to learn a centuries-old Palestinian artform and stitch one of two motifs common to the region of Gaza.
All supplies will be provided!
Led by experienced tatreez artists, this workshop is the perfect opportunity for you to practice resistance through stitching while learning about the fascinating heritage behind tatreez.
IMPORTANT:
This program is ONLY open to individuals who meet the following criteria:
Aged 15–25 years
Migrant and/or refugee visa holders
Have been in Australia for less than 5 years
Living, working, or studying in the Canterbury Bankstown, Liverpool, or Fairfield LGAs
